LiezenYou can travel daily by train from Vienna, Upper and Lower Austria to Weißenbach an der Enns station and continue from there with the RegioBus or Gesäuse Sammeltaxi.
On weekends and public holidays, trains run twice a day from Vienna via the Westbahn line through the Gesäuse and back again.
On Fridays, express trains run all year round from Vienna to Liezen (terminus Bischofshofen) and back to Vienna on Sundays (bicycles can be taken on reservation).
ÖBB Eurocity and Intercity trains run through the Enns Valley every two hours. There are direct connections from Graz, Innsbruck and Salzburg to the train station in the district capital Liezen. From Vienna, the Südbahn line runs to Liezen every two hours with a single change in Leoben (on the same platform).
Between April 15 and November 3, 2024, there will be additional connections between Attnang-Puchheim (Upper Austria) and Stainach-Irdning on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. This line also runs through the Gesäuse.
