HWW-Hiking route: Pinggau - Koglreith - Hofgraben - Friedberg (circular trail)
This HWW hiking route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.
This extensive HWW hiking route leads from Pinggau along the Pinka to Baumgarten and Koglreith to Hofgraben and from there via Friedberg back to Pinggau. Along the HWW hiking route, you will learn at the HWW station that there was a settlement with a chapel in Hofgraben in the border area of today's municipalities of Friedberg, Dechantskirchen and Pinggau.

Arrival by car
- Leave the A2 at the Pinggau/Friedberg exit.
- Turn right onto the B54 in the direction of Pinggau.
- Follow the B54 for approx. 3 km to Pinggau.
The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.
- From Pinggau, follow the path towards Koglreith.
- Continue on the path through the forest in the direction of the Hofgraben HWW station.
- Follow the route to the town of Friedberg.
