Mühlen-Greith-Jakobsberg

The beautiful, family-friendly circular hiking trail leads from Mühlen to Greith and to Tonnerhütten-Straße. Along the way you can enjoy the view of the Zirbitzkogel.
The Greith parish church stands out very clearly from the townscape. The area around Greith was cleared and settled in the middle of the 12th century. The church in Greith, dedicated to St. Martin, was probably built shortly after 1200. The Greith parish church is a late Gothic building (15th century), the interior furnishings come from different stylistic periods.

Manca goes from the center of Mühlen. 100 m to the NE to the Jakobsberg-Tonnerhütte or Noreia-Mondorf road fork. Take the slightly rising road to the right (SE) for approx. 350 m towards Noreia until you reach the junction of the road to Greith. Then turn left (N) and walk on the slightly rising municipal road for approx. 1.5 km to the fork in paths 3, 4 and 5 and the Mühlradl hiking trail near Haus Egger. Here you have a wonderful view of St. Helen, Hitzmannsdorf, Jakobsberg and the Wölzer Tauern. Manca goes on the gravel road, which continues to climb slightly. 1 km to the fork of trails 3 and 4.

Follow marker 3 to the left (NW) and take the now flat gravel path to the Schnedl farm. Now the path turns north towards the Zirbitzkogel. Past large pastures on the right, always with a wonderful view of the Zirbitzkogel, the gravel path leads to the fork of paths 3 and 3a immediately before Greith, the highest point of the hike.

From Greith the “3er” path now runs flat to the NW into the ditch. After passing the bridge with an idyllic bench, the path turns to the west and leads us flatly through a forest to the road to the Tonnerhütte or to the fork of paths 3, 9, the Norischen Panoramaweg and the Mühlradl hiking trail.

Immediately after the bend, the forest path branches off to the left and leads through a small forest back to the road to the Tonnerhütte.

On the asphalted "Tonnerhütten-Straße" you go left (SE), past the junction to the waterfall or the nature trail to the Jakobsberg-Tonnerhütte or Noreia-Mondorf road fork and further into the town center of Mühlen, the starting point.
