Schöder

The Knapp mountain farm is a pioneer in sustainability and innovative forestry. It has been run organically since 1987.

Approaches such as the use of wood without clear-cutting and reforestation and the regeneration of the forest without human intervention were new and initially met with skepticism. In 2007, the company was awarded the State Prize for Exemplary Forestry.
