Wood, a characteristic material of the region, was to play a major role in the construction of the facility.

In the end, the choice fell on construction elements made of solid wood from the regional manufacturer KLH, which were used together with steel and concrete. The focus is on functionality and robustness in order to offer the athletes and the public an environment in which everything revolves around the sport.
