Allgau-Eck
This is a moderately difficult tour, but for the most part it leads away from the main road. This means you can really enjoy the nature of the Murau region.
The route boasts a picturesque landscape and well-maintained roads. The section towards Allgau has little traffic and is therefore an excellent destination for bikers.

More information
Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here and drive via Murau to St. Ruprecht.
Coming from Tamsweg via Stadl an der Mur, drive straight on to St. Ruprecht.
From the Mur Cycle Path R2, turn off at St. Ruprecht station over the Mursteg towards the Wood Museum. Cross the Mur and, after the short steep climb, the main road (underpass). Continue in the direction of the Holzmuseum/GH Anthofer. From GH Anthofer, a paved path leads towards Allgau. Follow the initially steep road for approx. 3.7 km, the path becomes flatter with wonderful views over the Mur valley in the St. Lorenzen/Kreischberg area. You reach the crossroads in Allgau. Turn left up the mountain and at the next junction turn right along the gravel road. A left fork follows on the forest path which offers a wonderful view over the Allgau. After crossing three pastures, there is a sharp left fork to reach the Allgau-Eck via a tractor path through the forest. An idyllic forest landscape with a small chapel at the saddle point. The way back is the same as the way out.
On your return, the Gasthof Anthofer invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
