HWW-Bicycle route: Lafnitz - Eichberg - Rohrbach/Lafnitz (circular route)
This HWW cycle route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.
This HWW cycle route (circular cycle route) leads from Lafnitz via St. Ilgen to Eichberg and back to Lafnitz via Rohrbach/Lafnitz. Along the HWW cycle route you come to the HWW station Weingraben 1, where you learn that the Wechselland was once also a wine-growing region.

More information
Arrival by car
- Take the A2 Süd highway.
- Take exit 115 Hartberg and turn left onto the B54 in the direction of Hartberg.
- Drive through Hartberg and follow the B54 for about 15 km.
- Turn left onto the L408 in the direction of Lafnitz.
- Arrival in Lafnitz: After about 4 km you reach the village of Lafnitz.
The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.
- The tour starts in Lafnitz.
- The route continues to Eichberg.
- The route ends in Rohrbach an der Lafnitz.
We recommend visiting the exhibition in the unique ambience of Aichberg Castle.
