This easy leisure cycle route invites you to get to know the individual districts of Fohnsdorf and is also ideal for families. Can also be "walked" on foot!

Beautiful circular route through the districts of Fohnsdorf without any significant inclines, also suitable for beginners. Along the way, the cosy restaurants invite you to linger, or you can relax in our Aqualux thermal spa after the tour.

Your journey from:

VIENNA (approx. 2 hours)Take the A2 motorway to the Seebenstein junction, direction S6 Semmering. Follow the Murtalschnellstraße S36 to the Judenburg Ost exit. Turn right towards Hetzendorf on the L516 (Judenburger Straße). After 1.7 km turn left into Karl-August-Straße, after 500 m turn left into Thermenallee.

LINZ (approx. 2 hours)Take the A1 motorway in the direction of Salzburg. In Sattledt change to the A9 motorway towards Graz as far as the St. Michael i.O. junction. Continue on the Murtalschnellstraße S36 towards Klagenfurt until the Judenburg Ost exit. Turn right towards Hetzendorf on the L516 (Judenburger Straße). After 1.7 km turn left into Karl-August-Straße, after 500 m turn left into Thermenallee.

SALZBURG (approx. 2 hours)At Salzburg Nord take the A1 towards Linz Wien, at the Voralpenkreuz junction take the A9 towards Graz as far as the St. Michael i.O. junction. Continue on the Murtalschnellstraße S36 to the Judenburg Ost exit. Turn right towards Hetzendorf on the L516 (Judenburger Straße). After 1.7 km turn left into Karl-August-Straße, after 500 m turn left into Thermenallee.

KLAGENFURT (approx. 1 hour)Klagenfurt Ost onto the A2 motorway towards Graz Wolfsberg. Take the Bad St. Leonhard exit onto the Obdacher Bundesstraße B78 towards Zeltweg. Take the Zeltweg bypass onto the S36, direction Klagenfurt, after approx. 2.5 km take the Judenburg Ost exit. Turn right towards Hetzendorf on the L516 (Judenburger Straße). After 1.7 km turn left into Karl-August-Straße, after 500 m turn left into Hetzendorf.

MURAU (approx. 1/2 hour)Follow the Murtal Bundesstraße B96 in the direction of Scheifling. Turn left onto the Friesacher Bundesstraße B317 towards Judenburg. Follow the Murtal motorway S36 to the Judenburg Ost exit. Turn right towards Hetzendorf on the L516 (Judenburger Straße). After 1.7 km turn left into Karl-August-Straße, after 500 m turn left into Thermenallee. Take the Aichfeld regional bus directly to the front door of Therme Fohnsdorf

Whether by e-bike, mountain bike, city bike or even on foot, this tour through the municipality of Fohnsdorf with an altitude difference of just 184 metres is suitable for everyone. The starting point is the Aqualux Therme. Turn left along the cycle path to Wasendorf. Follow the signs to the right or after approx. 100 metres to the left. The route leads along the so-called railway embankment to the main square in Fohnsdorf. Past the football stadium to Dinsendorf, through the small village of Sillweg with its small church, the route continues to Rattenberg to the Perschler inn. From Rattenberg, the route leads along a country lane to Aichdorf and Landhaus Wilhelmer. Along the Pölsbach stream, a gravel path between fields and meadows leads to Hetzendorf. At Hotel Schloss Gabelhofen, a footpath leads over the Pölssteg bridge back to the Aqualux Therme Fohnsdorf.

A visit to the Montanmuseum Fohnsdorf (open daily from 1 May to 31 October from 9:00 to 17:00) is highly recommended
