Fürstenfeld City Tour (Fürstenfelder Stadtrundgang)

The thermal capital in the middle of the thermal and volcanic region with its historic town centre is a modern shopping town with a special flair, surrounded by six thermal spas.

During a tour of the town, you will get to know and love Fürstenfeld.

The tour takes you to the most important points of Fürstenfeld. It starts directly in the main street (Hauptstraße 2a) in front of the guest information. You are welcome to ask for information there. The first stop is the ‘Dornbrunnen’. The thorns symbolise the important places in Fürstenfeld. The route continues to the ‘Schloss am Stein’, the parish church, the main square, the parish, through the Grazer Tor to the Augustinerkirche. Then it goes along Klostergasse to the highlight of the city tour, Pfeilburg Castle (http://www.museum-pfeilburg.at/) Pfeilburg Castle is the oldest building in the city. It is home to the museum, which provides a platform for topics as important to the history of Fürstenfeld and Styria as tobacco, prehistoric and early historical artefacts, the town's history and unique collections.  Starting at Pfeilburg Castle, you can explore the town's fortress trail (https://www.festungsweg.at).
