A pleasant and picturesque circular walk.

The Jahringer Runde trail starts in the centre of St. Nikolai i. S. It takes us northeast through Forst and Oberjahring until we reach Flamhof Castle, where we are treated to a picturesque view. From there, we take the southern path, which leads us along the ridge of the mountain range, following the municipal road to Unterjahring and finally to Muggenaubach. After crossing the main road, the trail continues along the municipal road through picturesque woodlands back to our starting point.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the Leibnitz exit. Follow the B74 via Kaindorf a. d. Sulm – Muggenau – St. Nikolai i. S.

The Jahringer Runde starts in the centre of the village and runs north-east via Forst and Oberjahring to Flamberg. From there, the trail heads south along the ridge and the municipal road to Unterjahring and finally to the Muggenaubach stream. After crossing the main road, the trail continues along the main road and through woodland back to the starting point.

Take advantage of this opportunity and book a tasting at the Aeijst distillery after your hike.

Many starting points for our hikes in southern Styria can also be reached by public transport.

For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by bus and train wherever possible.
