More information
Coming from Trieben, follow the B114 to the Triebental junction. Follow the Triebentalstraße for approx. 4 km
With the destination always in sight, we start across a cow pasture along the edge of the fence, then briefly along a gravel road before turning left after a small meadow following the signs onto a forest path and then continuing along the almost parallel gravel road to the Steiner Alm. There, follow the signs and markings to the left to Triebernertörl and Grießstein across a meadow again. Up to the Triebenertörl, the hiking trail is easily recognizable, followed by partly open and rocky terrain up to the summit.
Descend via the same route.
If you don't want to hike that far, you can just go as far as Triebenertörl and simply turn back there after a short rest
This tour is NOT considered "accessible by train and bus" because there is no regular connection.
Parking lot 2 Seyfreid directly at the starting point. Please note the parking system in the Triebental!
