Not only in summer Rohrmoos is a hiking paradies, also in winter the hiking routes are excellent.

A beautiful hike on the foot of Hochwurzen on the sunny plateau of Rohrmoos. Along the route there are several opportunities to stop for a refreshment, snack, lunch or dinner.

From Schladming take provincial highway L722 (Rohrmoosstraße road) to Rohrmoos and at the roundabout continue straight on to the village center of Rohrmoos.

Follow the path next to the road upwards for appr. 300 m to the trail intersection "Schußbühel" and ascend further via snowy meadows to Haus Moosbrugger. Turn left and cross the ski slope (caution!). Afterwards follow the path through the forest until the ski slopes of the Obertalbahn lift and cross them again. Slightly upwards on the forest lane and through the snowy winterland until you reach the "Schwammerldorf". There turn left and follow the prepared winter path to the Schlapfer farm. Follow the Rohrmoos Südweg to the Sonnleitner farm where you reach the Knappenweg trail which takes you back to Rohrmoos village via Obertalbahn lift and Rohrmooser Frei meadows.
