The wine-growing and nature park municipality of St. Andrä-Höch lies at the centre of the Sausal wine country on the Sausal Wine Road. The Demmerkogel, at 671 m the highest elevation in the Sausal wine country and thus also in southern Styria, is the centre of attraction for those seeking recreation and wine lovers. Due to the special soil composition of the primeval and slate soils, grapes of diverse varieties and special ripeness thrive here up to an altitude of 640 metres.
The tourism association, winegrowers and fruit growers, in close cooperation with the inns and rooming houses, strive to make the guests' holiday as relaxing as possible. Particularly appreciated are the cosy Buschenschenken, which are mostly located away from the main traffic centre and are exclusively family-run businesses, and which take care of their guests all year round with their traditional snacks and upscale wine culture. Popular excursion destinations are the lookout point on Demmerkogel, the largest wooden Klapotetz in the world, the Harrachegg castle cellar with its outdoor facilities, the forest and game nature trail, the Hubertus grotto and the baroque parish church in St. Andrä im Sausal.
