Advent im Stift Neuberg
Advent in the monastery ... and for the first time also in the historic railway station in Neuberg an der Mürz.
The traditional Advent market at Neuberg an der Mürz Abbey will take place again this year on the first three weekends of Advent From 14:00 - 19:00 (Sunday until 18:00) on 30 November and 1 December, 7 and 8 December and then again on 14 and 15 December, numerous artisans will be presenting their treasures in the monastery's banqueting hall
In the courtyards of the monastery itself, there are culinary delicacies from the region and an extensive programme, including for the first time in the neighbouring historic railway station The market town of Neuberg an der Mürz, the Neuberg railway station association - designing together and the Mürzer Oberland Nature Park invite you to enjoy a pre-Christmas visit to the Upper Mürz Valley on these three Advent weekends.
Programme:
On all six days: Advent trail to the historic Neuberg railway station, Christmas post office from 3.00 - 5.00 pm,
Horse riding and carriage rides as well as musical entertainment
Additionally on:
- 30.11.2024: Roof truss tour in Neuberg Minster, the largest wooden roof truss in the German-speaking world, Christmas photo point, storytelling and Christmas crafts in the historic railway station
- 1.12.2024: Torchlight hike, storytelling and Christmas crafts in the historic railway station
- 7.12.2024: Father Christmas arrives
- 8.12.2024: Perchten run
- 14.12.2025: Children's programme with the Friends of Nature, torchlight hike
- 15.12.2024: Children's programme with the Friends of Nature, closing concert with MV Mürzsteg
