KapfenbergIce stock sport fever in Hochsteiermark at the World Championship 2025
In the year 2025, this special event will take place in the Upper Styria.
The venues are at the Kapfenberg Sports Center and at the Stanzer Malburgteich.
From February 25 to March 9, 2025 there is the opportunity to experience this fascinating sport up close – live and full of emotions.
Ice stock sport athletes from around the world will gather in Kapfenberg and in Stanz im Mürztal to compete for medals. In Kapfenberg, the target competitions (individual and team competitions) as well as the team competitions will take place. Daily, up to 3,500 fans can follow the unique games. In Stanz, a distance track will be built specifically for the World Championship, providing sufficient length for the distance athletes (individual and team competitions) with space for up to 2,000 spectators per day.
The 8th Youth World and European Championship will take place from February 25 – March 1 at both venues.
The 15th Women's and Men's World Championship starts on March 4 and will have its final on March 9.
Styria is also home to 31 individuals with a total of 72 world championship titles, highlighting the significance of the sport.
