Final concert - Saltarello
The seven-piece Lungau music group Saltarello will give a concert in the town hall at the end of the Anna Neumann Year - 2024. The ensemble stands for music from the time of the minstrels, the crusades, the up-and-coming Renaissance princes and plays longing love songs from France and Spain, deeply sad laments from Italy and much more. Saltarello stands for music from the time of the minstrels, the crusades and the up-and-coming Renaissance princes and plays longing love songs from France and Spain, deeply sad laments from Italy, inspiring songs for banquets and splendid and wildly jumping dances accompanied by Arabic rhythms. The ensemble fascinates with a diverse range of instruments including bagpipes, harps, Renaissance trombone, crumhorns, hurdy-gurdy, tenor fiddle, hammered dulcimer, flutes, tambourello, etc. and captivates its audience with its own arrangements of original pieces from four centuries.
