Aupark Pöllau
PöllauThe Aupark Pöllau - an oasis of relaxation in the Nature Park Pöllau Valley!
The circa 30.000m² large Aupark epitomizes the long tradition of tourism in the Pöllau Valley: It was built around 1900 by the Beautification Club. The pond was used for boat rides for guests. Together with the close-by public outdoor pool Pöllau was considered a modern summer retreat.
It is not only used as a starting point for hikers and runners, children also enjoy playing on the nicely arranged playground there. Nowadays it is valued as a cool and shaded place during summer. During the winter months all ages have fun skating on the frozen pond. The Aupark is and was a place of rest and an oasis for tranquility. There are also many concerts in the Aupark like the one from the Pöllau Orchestra.
"SAM" stands for "Sammeltaxi Oststeiermark" (=community taxi Easten Styria) and closes the mobility gap where buses and trains do not operate. The SAM stop in Aupark is HF 5949 (Pöllau/Schwimmbad), further stops can be found here.
