Breitenau am Hochlantsch

The traditional draft horse meeting in Breitenau am Hochlantsch

Every year, horse lovers meet on the fairground at Gasthof Hofbauer in Breitenau am Hochlantsch to celebrate the tradition and culture of horse-drawn carriages and pulling wood. Around three thousand visitors cheer on the carriage drivers. A total of almost 60 teams of different horse breeds and formations are presented. Afterwards there is a parade through the town and a cozy, culinary and sociable day.

The supporting program:

9.00 a.m. meeting point for the teams at Gasthof Hofbauer in St. Jakob
followed by a parade through the town
approx. 13.00 p.m. Festive entry of the teams followed by a performance

Admission is voluntary donation

The day is spent with a lot of culinary delights from the local producers and the inns as well as with music. A big raffle with valuable non-cash prizes completes the program.
