The church St. Erhard or the pilgrimage church Schüsserlbrunn, under the steep walls of the Hochlantsch, are only a few examples.
The market town of Breitenau am Hochlantsch lies between the Hochlantsch (1,722m) and the Fischbacher Alps with the Rennfeld and Hochschlag (1,582m).
The villages of St. Jakob and St. Erhard belong to the municipal area. Both offer an excellent infrastructure with various department stores, doctors, municipal office, indoor swimming pool, market place and much more.
Among the most popular sights are the various parish and pilgrimage churches. Many pilgrims make the annual pilgrimage to the High Gothic parish church of St. Erhard, to the daughter church of St. James or to the Schüsserlbrunn pilgrimage chapel, which lies beneath the steep walls of the Hochlantsch.
