Art off-space Jester's box
FrohnleitenThe project "Kunst off-space Narrenkastl" - is a transformed shop window. Over 125 national and international artists have already exhibited in the small gallery.
Cross-disciplinary collaborations are just as much the focus as contemporary art. With its central location, the Kunst off-space Narrenkastl also offers itself as a cooperation partner for actions, performances, improvisation, music, events in public space.
2 vintage armchairs invite you to take a seat - to look comfortably into the Narrenkastl.
The expression "looking into the Narrenkastl" is a common one in Austria, the levels of meaning are complex - here it does not refer purely to the fixated gaze into nothingness or mindless staring in one direction, but to dreamy looking; building castles in the air. In this way, one can only look into a box that remains invisible to normal eyes, only dreamers can see it.
The person interested in art immerses him/herself in the work of art, its intention; interprets it for him/herself, immerses him/herself in another world or plane; lets the art approach him/herself, loses him/herself in time and space and forgets everything around him/herself. Time to dream - just sit down and immerse yourself.
