Schiregion Salzstiegl
Hirschegg-PackThe Salzstiegl ski area in the Graz adventure region offers 12 km of pistes, a 2 km long toboggan run and a cosy alpine hut for families and action lovers in Styria.
In the centre of Styria, the family-friendly Salzstiegl ski area invites you to enjoy unforgettable winter experiences. With 40 hectares of pistes and a total of 12 kilometres of runs, there are a variety of slopes for beginners and experienced skiers alike.
Six T-bar lifts, including a platter lift and a rope lift, guarantee fast transport. The natural mogul pistes, the jumps and the varied descents in particular offer that little bit extra for all skiing fans. Guaranteed snow is ensured by 96 snow cannons and a snowmaking system - ideal for winters with little snow. The Klinger ski school is located directly at the valley station and offers suitable courses for young and old. The Ruderes ski school also offers professional technical courses. If you don't have your own equipment, you can hire skis and snowboards at Salzstiegl.
For non-skiers, the Salzstiegl offers a 2 km long, floodlit toboggan run that provides plenty of action. The toboggan taxi takes you comfortably to the starting point at 1,554 metres above sea level, and the descent leads back to the valley station. If you prefer a more sporty ride, you can also walk up the run.
Away from the pistes, ski tourers and snowshoe hikers can enjoy the impressive winter landscape and breathtaking views. The Salzstiegl has the right offer for everyone and the Alpengasthaus Moasterhaus right on the piste provides cosy accommodation and refreshments. With its rustic atmosphere and regional cuisine, it is the perfect place to round off the day.
Nothing stands in the way of a perfect winter's day in Styria.
