Vulkanland Sternwarte
FeldbachThe observatory at Rosenberg was built in 2001 and consists of two domes (five and three meters) with two Meade telescopes (16 and ten inches). The smaller of the two domes is handicapped accessible.
Look into the stars
You can look out into the vastness of the starry sky at the Auersbach public observatory. Located on the Rosenhügel, it is far enough away from the lights of Feldbach to guarantee dark nights of observation. Auersbach is close to Riegersburg Castle and two kilometers from Kornberg Castle.
Behind the Vulkanland Observatory is the Astro Club Auersbach. Guided tours take place every Friday, except around the full moon, after dark and begin with a lecture. With the Heurigenschenke "Zum Sterngucker", which is located next to the observatory, the ideal combination of astronomy and gastronomy has been created.
