Ödensee

The Ödensee is a natural lake, more specifically a forest moor lake, in Bad Mitterndorf in the Styrian Salzkammergut. It is located in the municipality of Pichl-Kainisch in the Ausseerland at an altitude of 776 meters above sea level and has a maximum depth of about 19 meters. A children's playground and a beach invite for an unforgettable day by the water.

Dogs are welcome at Ödensee and on the circular hiking trail. However, swimming in the lake is strictly prohibited for them to protect a rare species of crayfish. For cooling off, dogs can use the nearby drainage brook.
