On offer are slow train panoramic rides over the high plateau of the Tauplitzalm.
One of the most beautiful high alpine pastures in the Salzkammergut, the Tauplitzalm, is located at about 1,650 meters above sea level. Three of the six mountain lakes can be visited during the approximately one-hour scenic train ride, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. (Dead Mountains, Grimming, Dachstein, Stoderzinken, Schladminger Tauern, Gesäuse,...).
After a thirty-minute ride, there is a stop at the Steirerseebankerl to enjoy the enchanting view over the Steirersee and the Sturzhahn.
The unique variety of flowers is particularly fascinating. From early to mid-July (depending on weather conditions), the almrose blossom can be admired.
From mid-June to early/mid-September, the young cattle enjoy the alpine summer at the Tauplitzalm.
Scenic train tours from mid June to early September every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the Tauplitzalm parking lot, right by Alm In.
In September, tours take place on Wednesday and Saturday.
Group trips possible at any time with reservation.
If the Hüttner family does not have a suitable free appointment, the Hierzegger family also offers scenic train rides over the high plateau.
