Forest and Bee educational trail
Open
The family-friendly hiking trail in the Almenland Nature Park in Styria starts directly in Passail, leads up to the Lindenberg and past the Kreiner Almenland beekeeping farm.
The trail leads from the center of Passail up to the Lindenberg, a large entry board describes the course of the trail. The elaborately designed display boards offer interesting information on the following topics for every nature lover along the way:
- Functions and trees of the forest,
- economic importance of the forest,
- bees and ants, their life and close relationship,
- mosses, lichens and ferns in the forest- animals of the forest.
The way back then leads past the Almenland beekeeping Kreiner, in the courtyard there are more illustrative objects about the bees waiting for you. Karl Kreiner also offers guided tours and tastings, in the Hofladen you can then also immediately buy the honey supply for home.
The Lindenberg Church is also worth a detour. In front of the church, which is over 500 years old, benches with a wonderful view await visitors under the mighty linden trees. Right next to it are the Lindenbergstub'n, which invite you to stop for a bite to eat.
