Cross-country skiing fees and cross-country skiing tickets

Pay once, and you're ready to glide your cross-country skis through the perfect trails of the Ausseerland. And that’s for the entire season. Purchasing the trail passes for the cross-country skiing areas is the first step toward enjoying the skiing experience.

Good to know: The use of cross-country ski trails in Altaussee, Bad Aussee and Grundlsee is free of charge.

Trail Tickets for the 2025/2026 Season
For the 2025/2026 cross-country skiing season, the following ticket options are available:

The trail tickets are valid for the following cross-country skiing areas:

Pichl-Kainisch
Bad Mitterndorf
Tauplitz village and Tauplitzalm

New for 2025/2026: With the Season Pass Plus and the 1-Day Cross-Country Ticket including lift/bus ascent (except the 2025/2026 Standard Season Pass), a free daily round trip with the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße bus from Bad Mitterndorf and a round trip with the 4-seater chairlift of the Tauplitz Bergbahnen from Tauplitz is included. These trips can be used once daily. In order to use the free bus service on the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße or the chairlift service of the Tauplitz Bergbahnen, you must carry a complete and appropriate cross-country skiing outfit.

Note: Children up to their 16th birthday can use the trails for free but must obtain a valid free day ticket for the round trips on the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße and Tauplitz Bergbahnen.

2025/2026 Standard Season Pass & 2025/2026 Plus Season Pass

The difference between the 2025/2026 Standard Season Pass and the 2025/2026 Plus Season Pass is that the Plus Pass additionally includes daily round trips with the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße bus and the 4-seater chairlift of the Tauplitz Bergbahnen. You can use these trips once per day. The Standard Season Pass, however, does not include these trips.

The pre-sale for the season passes starts at the end of October 2025 and runs until December 12, 2025. From December 13, 2024, the season passes will be available at the regular price:

Cross-country skiing season tickets for Bad Mitterndorf and Ramsau am Dachstein

The combination season ticket offers cross-country skiing fun from Bad Mitterndorf to Ramsau am Dachstein.

Good to know: The Plus combination ticket also includes a free daily round trip with the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße bus and a round trip with the 4-seater chairlift of the Tauplitz Bergbahnen. These trips can be used once per day.

1-Day Trail Ticket, Morning Trail Ticket, Afternoon Trail Ticket

Full-Day and Half-Day Tickets

New this season: In addition to the day ticket, morning ticket, and afternoon ticket, you can now also choose a day ticket including lift/bus ascent!

The day ticket including lift/bus ascent include a free round trip with the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße bus from Bad Mitterndorf and a round trip with the 4-seater chairlift of the Tauplitz Bergbahnen from Tauplitz.

For cross-country skiers, the day ticket including lift/bus ascent is available for €25.00 per person. The day ticket without ascent is available for €17.00 per person.

If you prefer to spend only half a day on the trails, the half-day ticket – valid in the morning until 12:00 p.m. or in the afternoon from 12:00 p.m. – is available for €12.00 per person.

Children up to their 16th birthday can use the trails for free, but must still obtain a valid free day ticket for the round trips on the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße and Tauplitz Bergbahnen.

Multi-Day Tickets

3-Day Trail Ticket, 7-Day Trail Ticket

The trail fees for the 3-Day Tickets are €36.00 per person, and for the 7-Day Tickets they are €60.00 per person. The tickets are valid for three or seven consecutive days.

Children up to their 16th birthday can use the trails for free but must still obtain a valid free day ticket for the round trips on the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße and Tauplitz Bergbahnen.

Note: Payment can be made with coins or by bank card.

Please note! Children up to their 16th birthday can use the trails for free, but must still obtain a valid free day ticket for the round trips on the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße and Tauplitz Bergbahnen. This ticket can be obtained or activated anytime via the online shop.

NOTICE for Using the Trails

The use of and access to the trails is only permitted with a valid trail ticket. The trail ticket must be presented to the controllers without being asked. The validity of the ticket will be checked by scanning it. Without a valid trail ticket, a replacement fee of €105.00 will be charged.
