Over there are the Haller Mauern, there the view of the Buchstein and the Hochtor group and then still the Reichenstein group. Admont is not just a stopover on the hiking route "From the Glacier to the Wine", but is also a popular starting point for adventure in the Gesäuse National Park. This is true simply because you can start a multi-day cabin-to-cabin hiking trek here and taste the varying cuisine in the numerous guesthouses. The expression "The gateway to the Gesäuse National Park" thus really brings the right image to mind.
The district of Johnsbach is a popular mountain climber's village, which is surrounded by the national park, has the Odelsteinhöhle [cave] and is blessed with excellent guesthouses. In the summer, Hall with its salt nature trail along the Eßling, the Mühlauer waterfall and Weng with the many walking, hiking and cycling options excite people.
