Rote Wand Tour
Beautiful circular trail with wonderful viewpoints of the town of Liezen, the Grimming and the Dachstein.
From the centre, walk past the Liezen Alpine swimming pool to the turn-off for Berggasthof Zierer in Höhenstrasse. At the end of the settlement turn left steeply through the forest and from there to the Rote Wand (special caution advised). Optionally continue in the direction of Hinteregger Alm or via Gampersberger back to the centre.

Take the Ennstal road (B 320) or the Pyhrn motorway (A 9) to Liezen.
From the centre, walk past the Liezen Alpine swimming pool, turn right after the pool and follow the path past the old mill to the junction of Höhenstrasse, here we follow to the Zierer turn-off. At the end of the settlement turn left steeply through the forest to the Rote Wand - downhill to the Hintereggerweg junction and over Liezner Eck keeping left to Gampesberger. Take the Höhenstrasse back to the centre.
If you want to avoid the city, start at the open-air swimming pool, where you can also park!

Free long-term parking spaces in the city of Liezen are available free of charge and for an unlimited period in the area of the Friedau tennis hall and in sufficient numbers on the southern Döllacher Straße with access opposite the Walcher locksmith's shop!

The Green Zone at the Pyhrn car park is valid from Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. The cost of parking is € 0.10 per hour, so you can park for the whole day in the Green Zone at the Pyhrn car park for € 1.
