Heinzel Pöls is one of the largest manufacturers of pulp and paper. On the geocaching trail, you will find eight stations with exciting information about pulp and paper production. All you need is a smartphone and the geocaching app if you follow the coordinates given.

Geocaching is a modern treasure hunt that is very popular as a leisure activity. Using a GPS-enabled device, usually a smartphone and the geocaching app, you search for hidden treasures consisting of a box with a logbook.

The ‘Weg zum Papier’ geocache trail stretches over 5.5 kilometres around the Heinzel Pöls company premises and comprises eight stations known as ‘stages’. This multicache was developed in collaboration with the BG/BRG Judenburg as part of the ‘Papier macht Schule’ initiative. Participants use GPS-enabled devices such as smartphones to discover information about paper production at the stations. In this way, the trail combines exercise in nature with interactive learning about the importance of paper.
