The Judenburg City Museum presents the historical development of the region from the Stone Age to modern times.

The founding of the Judenburg City Museum in 1948 goes back to the initiative of the collector Ernst Klepsch-Kirchner, who moved from Vienna, and local resident Betty Perwein. Since 1990, the museum has been located in the spacious building on Kaserngasse.

A panoramic model on the ground floor gives visitors an overview of the medieval and modern city topography. The historical exhibition in the two upper floors presents 16 dioramas by local artist Anna Krotschek, which – supplemented by documents and objects – illustrate important milestones in the history of Judenburg in period-typical scenes.
