More information

Via B87 or B77 to Fisching near Weißkirchen.
From the parking lot in Fisching we go along the asphalt road in the direction of Murwald. We are on the Murradweg R2 and the route is suitable for extensive walks, running laps as well as easy bike rides. Cross the overpass over the B77. After the overpass, keep to the right in the direction of Murwaldweg, following the signs for the Murradweg or in the direction of Radknotenpunkt 30.

The path leads us between the Murbodn fields. Corn, grain, potatoes and for some years now also pumpkins grow here in the middle of the Mur valley.

We come into the Murwald and after a few meters downhill we keep to the left at the fork in the road, always following the R2 - Murradweg. An information bay on the "Fisching hydroelectric power plant" invites you to take your first break.

From here we continue along the asphalt road. To the right is an artificially constructed branch of the Mur - a 350 meter long fish ladder. With beautiful views of this arm of the Mura, you really immerse yourself in the nature of the Mura forest. Ducks and swans like to frolic here.

If you want to be on the road longer, you can take one of the many paths to Maria Buch and visit the pilgrimage church here.
Bus stop "Fisching" is only about 800 meters away from the parking lot Fisching. Regional buses from the direction of Zeltweg or from Reichenfels stop here several times on weekdays. For more information see www.verbundlinie.en
The approach is possible directly to the parking lot Fisching.
More details are available in the municipality of Weißkirchen.
