A spring day in the Murtal

  • 3 minutes of reading time
Every spring, the Erika blossom bathes the Mur Valley in the most beautiful shades of purple. We went for an enjoyable walk. But there are a few things to bear in mind so that we can enjoy this natural spectacle for a long time to come.

Indulgence from the Herk farm store

Erika blossom - admire and respect

When we arrive at the Erika blossom in St. Marein, we are overwhelmed by the wonderful blaze of color. We set off for an enjoyable walk. But there are a few points to bear in mind so that we can continue to enjoy this blaze of color in the future:

  • The erica blossom is an important source of food for bees, so don't step into the blossom, but stay on the forest paths.
  • A snack is part of a hike, but don't sit in the flowers when you take a break and don't leave any garbage behind.
  • Pets are welcome, but should be kept on a lead.
  • Create memories to take home, but ONLY in photos. Do not pick the flowers or pull out the plants.

Art in the Garden

On the way back, we stop at Metall4You in St. Marein. Here you will find forged works of art for your garden, as gifts and souvenirs. Stroll through the enchanting show garden and look over the family's shoulder.
