Elmer-Halbmarathon, Passail

Start: Middle school in Passail, SAM shared taxi station: WZ3327/ Schools Passail 

• We walk down to the Raab, past the Raabursprunghalle and the outdoor pool.
• After crossing the Raab, we turn left and walk along Raabstraße to Arzberg - always along the Raab.
• In the town center, we turn left, walk to the bridge and turn into Gollerstraße.
• Along the Moder and past the waste collection center we reach the intersection with the main road.
• We turn left towards "Frohnleiten" and walk along the B64 to the Teichalmstraße/BP petrol station junction.
• We walk up Teichalmstraße in the direction of "Fladnitz an der Teichalm" and soon turn left in the direction of "Schrems".
• We walk along the Schremsweg - past the Pension Elmer - to the junction with the L352/Tyrnauerstraße.
• Here we turn right uphill and soon reach the center of Fladnitz.
• Before the Fladnitz municipal office, we turn left uphill and walk to the Vital-Hotel-Styria.
• Via the hotel driveway, we reach the meadow path that leads above the hotel in the direction of Tober.
• Along the edge of the forest and across meadows, we soon reach the Schmalzlweg, which we cross.
• Continuing along the meadow path, we soon reach Tober and turn left at the road.
• Between two farmsteads, we turn left uphill (Lindenberg/Pernesreith) and walk uphill to the next crossroads.
• There we keep right and then immediately turn right onto the "Wald- und Bienenlehrpfad".
• We reach Passail again via the well-marked theme trail at Fladnitzerstraße.
• We keep left and turn right down Kirchengasse at the parking garage.
• At the junction with the B64, we keep left and walk past the market square in the direction of Weiz.
• Immediately after the market square, we turn right into Untergasse and walk past GH Hulfeld until we reach the Raabbrücke bridge.
• Here we keep left and walk up to the forest following the "Hechtl-Turm" markings.
• In the forest, we turn left uphill and soon come to the junction with the Teichweg.
• We turn left onto Teichweg and walk past the ponds until we reach the B64 main road.
• Turn left again and walk along the main road until you reach the secondary school again.

This varied and scenic route is ideal preparation for marathon runners.

Safety instructions

• Choose your running route carefully so that you can get home safely.
• If you are running alone, let someone you trust know where you are running and when you want to be home.
• Make sure you have good visibility (reflectors, safety vest) when running at dusk or at night.
• Be careful and pay attention to other road users, especially when traveling on roads.
