The start of the tour is located on the south side (opposite Plodererhof) of Niederalplstraße. At the distinctive sign "Naturpark Mürzer Oberland", follow the clearly visible trail as it winds up through the forest in several turns. Afterward, the trail heads left and continues gently uphill through a clearcut area towards Sohlenalm. The trail then takes a right turn and ascends a bit more before you reach the scenic Sohlenalm.
After crossing the Alm, continue along Trail 05 (do not continue straight to the forest road, as it leads to Rotsohlalm and Teufelsteig). The path follows the southwest slope of the Wildkamm, and toward the end, the trail gets a bit steeper as it moves through a gully-like depression to the picturesque Gingatzwiese.
Here begins the southeast ridge of Wildkamm, which is not too long but contains a few (easy) climbing sections. For about 20 minutes, ascend on a slightly exposed, rocky path to the summit of Wildkamm (1,874 meters). At the top, you'll find a small, charming summit cross, and the view of the north side of the Hohe Veitsch is truly impressive.
The descent must then be made by down-climbing, returning to Gingatzwiese. From here, the descent begins with a sharp turn to the north. The path then leads through the "Rodel" area, passing a short secured section, and quickly descends. Soon, you'll reach the road leading back to the Niederalpl Pass. Follow this road left uphill, and finally, walk up a ski slope to return to the starting point.
