Magnificent mountain tour through the largest apple-growing area in Austria and the largest low mountain pasture area in Europe.

Wonderful circular tour starting from Weiz. On the ride over the highest low mountain pasture area in Europe, we are really challenged, but rewarded by marvellous panoramic views. Finally, a long, fast descent back to Weiz awaits us.

The district capital Weiz is located in Eastern Styria and is easily accessible via the A2 motorway from Vienna (approx. 2 hours) and Graz from Graz (approx. 30 minutes).
- Arrival from Vienna and Graz: On the A2 from Vienna, take motorway exit 161/ Gleisdorf West in the direction of B 54/B64. Follow the B65 / Gleisdorfer Bundesstraße until you reach the B54 / Wechselbundesstraße. At the roundabout, take the second exit to the B64 / Rechberg-Bundesstraße. After approx. 15 km you will reach the district capital Weiz.
- Travelling from Graz via the main road: take Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Kai and Wickenburggasse to Jahngasse / B67a. Follow the B72 to Weiz and take the exit towards Weiz -West.

  •  We start our tour at the main square in Weiz
  • From there we take the Grazer Straße in the direction of Göttelsberg
  • At the junction Göttelsberg / stalactite cave we turn right uphill
  • Straight over the roundabout we take the Katerlochweg in the direction of Haselbach bei Weiz
  • After the village of Haselbach we come to the Gösserweg
  • We continue on this road until we turn sharp left after the village of Untersattel to reach the Haufenreithweg 
  • After a short time, we cross the Raab and turn right onto Haufenreithstraße
  • Keep left at the next junction and continue along Raabstraße into the centre of Passail
  • Once we reach the Passailer Markt, we take the Fladnitzer Staße to get to Fladnitz 
  • From here, the Teichalmstraße leads us to the famous Teichalm 
  • If you want to make a short detour to the Teichalmsee, continue straight on at the Angerer Wirt and enjoy a short break with a great view
  • Otherwise, we turn right at the Angerer Wirt (L355), past the Moospeter Hütte and the Holzmeister
  • We continue via the Sommeralm, where we enjoy a magnificent panorama on the descent
  • Once we reach the Brandlucken, the Heilbrunnerstraße leads us to Steg bei Anger
  • A short section takes us along the B72 before we turn off onto Birkfelder Straße and cycle on to Oberfeistritz 
  • After Oberfeistritz, we briefly cross the B72 again and cycle along the Külmlweg past Külml Castle 
  • Past the castle, we turn right at the next junction
  • From here, the route takes us past the most beautiful apple orchards again and again
  • Shortly on Unterfeistritzstraße, we turn left onto Ilzbergstraße at the Hart-Puch Hohenilz junction
  • After the village of Hohenilz, we turn right onto the old country road and cross the village of Perndorf 
  • After a rapid descent past Klettendorf, we come to a crossroads where we turn left and continue into the village of Etzersdorf 
  • We turn right at the crossroads and cycle past the fire station onto Etzersdorferstraße 
  • Shortly before we reach the village of Unterfladnitz, we keep right and cross the village of Farcha and Regerstätten 
  • The route continues straight ahead through Krottendorf 
  • Once we arrive at Gasthaus Allmer, we take Birkelderstraße to reach the centre of Weiz
  • A short section of the route takes us along Kapruner Generator Straße 
  • At the striking Red Tower, we turn left and head up Elingasse and Klammstraße to our starting point on Weiz's main square

Drive over the largest low mountain pasture area in Europe with impressive views and numerous culinary stops along the tour.
