Documentary USA/ISL 2024
71 min Director: Pamela Hogan
Music: Margrét Rán
Every two weeks, the Kurhaus Bad Aussee turns into a movie theater and shows special films.
This time it is about the story of a women's strike in which 90 percent of all Icelandic women took part and which paralyzed Iceland for a day in 1975. The aim was to achieve equal rights for men and women. The story of the strike, which ended with a huge women's rally in Reykjavík, is told in a humorous way.
An evening at the movies in a special atmosphere, which can be visited without long planning.
