Singing and legends of the interwar period.
With Herbert Zeman and Adelheid Picha.
Despite the First World War and the turbulent, often depressing economic and political situation and a widespread lack of orientation , the people of the German and Austrian cultural area did not lose the joy of making music and especially singing .
A wealth of melodies were created back then and have been passed on, almost up to our time. Who doesn't know the song “Auf der Heide blühn die letzten Rosen”, “Adieu mein kleiner Gardeoffizier”, “Im Prater blühn wieder die Bäume”, or “Ich bin a stiller Zecher”? A colorful landscape of joy, melancholy and comedy.
Adelheid Picha, born in Vienna, artist, founder, friend. Stations: Music Academy, Max Reinhardt Seminar, Volkstheater Vienna, Theater in der Josefstadt. Co-founder and co-organizer of the AKU (Ausseer Kultursommer) and the Arche am Grundlsee.
