LECTURE by Univ. Doz. Dr. Stefan Groh
“The silver treasure from Ausseerland - a Roman criminal case in Styria”
In 2018, a Roman-era treasure consisting of 575 silver coins and an iron finger ring with a finger bone was found near Bad Mitterndorf in the Salzkammergut region. The discovery site, the circumstances of the find and the composition of the silver treasure make it possible to reconstruct a criminal case from Roman times. The details and the solution to this criminal case will be made accessible to the general public for the first time in a richly illustrated lecture.
