Immerse yourself in the world of mining, immerse yourself in the Erzberg adventure!
The Erzberg is a world of its own. It is the largest and most modern open-cast mine in Central Europe, the most important ore deposit in the Alps, the cradle of Austria's industrialization and the venue for the toughest enduro race in the world: the Erzbergrodeo.

HAULY RIDE
The Hauly III and IV vehicles - converted 1,217 hp giants with a viewing platform - take you right into the heart of the open-cast mine. Along the levels of the ore mountain, you will see how ore mining works. During the approximately one-hour ride, you will learn interesting facts about the Hauly, ore mining above ground and the miners' everyday work.

LIVE JUMPING
Every Thursday, you will witness how up to 80,000 tons of rock are blasted into the mine in a tiered manner during an approximately one-hour Hauly ride. The original blasting protocol is available as a souvenir to take home.

OPEN-AIR EXHIBITION OSWALDIRÜCKEN
Relax and look back on your work. In the extensive area at 878 meters above sea level, visitors can take an exciting or relaxing walk between old mining machines and modern art elements and experience live cinema "Opencast mining up close" at the Erzberg at the same time.

SCHAUBERGWERK
During a guided tour of around one and a half hours through the underground labyrinth of the Erzberg, you will get to know the underground working world of the miners. You will learn about the history of the formation of the Erzberg, experience the Aquarius legend about the discovery of the mountain and witness an audiovisually staged blasting.
