The "Mugel" is a mountain and is suitable for long hikes, mountain runs, mountain biking and in winter for ski tours. Depending on the starting point, there are 600 to 1200 meters in altitude to overcome.

The Mugel Protection House, located at an altitude of 1632 meters in the Gleinalpe mountain range, was built in 1904 and later named after the esteemed section chairman Jakob-Hans-Prosl. The protection house is owned by the central office of the Austrian Tourist Club.

The Mugel, "the sport mountain of Leoben," is suitable for extensive hiking, mountain running, mountain biking, and in winter for ski tours. Depending on the starting point, 600 to 1200 meters in elevation need to be conquered.

Additionally, the new protection house is available for celebrations of all kinds, such as seminars (with a dedicated seminar room for up to 40 people), birthday parties, engagement parties, Christmas parties, weddings, etc.

Every year on the 3rd Sunday in September, the traditional mountain mass takes place.

Every December 30th at 14:00, the Farmer's New Year’s Eve celebration is held.
