The Reichensteinhütte is a paradise for hikers and connoisseurs. With regional specialities, numerous places to sleep and an unforgettable view of the Erzberg and the Eisenerz Alps, it offers a unique mountain experience.
The Reichensteinhütte, idyllically situated at 2,128 metres in the Eisenerz Alps, is the perfect place for a well-earned break after the ascent. In just 2 to 2.5 hours, hikers can reach the hut from Präbichl, which scores with its proximity to the summit of the Eisenerzer Reichenstein. From here, it is only 15 minutes to the summit cross, where an unrivalled panoramic view awaits.
The hut's spacious dining room seats up to 70 people. Regional specialities are served here, which taste particularly good after a strenuous climb. Whether a savoury soup or sweet temptations such as Buchteln and Topfenstrudel - every meal is made unforgettable by the impressive view.
If you want to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains for longer, you can spend the night in one of the room or mattress dormitories. A total of 55 sleeping places are available, which impress with their simplicity and cosiness. The sunrise on the summit is a particular highlight that overnight guests should not miss.
The hut is also a reliable refuge for winter hikers. The winter room with three sleeping places remains accessible all year round.
