Geh an deine Grenzen im Waldläufercamp
About the offer
"Survive" the days in the ranger camp? Do nothing without smartphone, watch and electricity?
Good equipment and tips are important, but even then it's not for everyone: find the camp with the map, build your own sleeping place, cook together with simple means and experience dark nights. Experienced national park rangers will help you.
Supervision by 2 National Park Rangers, overnight stay and meals
After registration you will receive an equipment list
How do the days in the ranger camp run?
The ranger camp starts on Fri at 09:00. After a common grocery shopping we hike to the ranger camp (pure walking time 2 h), where we spend the next days. We will spend the night outside with a windbreak. We cook ourselves over an open fire or a table stove. The cell phones will be switched off. There is time for different activities (e.g. hiking, cooperative activities, enjoying one of the quietest places in the national park). On Sunday we hike together back down into the valley and are back in Admont by 4:30 pm at the latest.
What is the infrastructure in the camp?
As an emergency backup for sleeping there are lumberjack ducks. A toilet is available (dry toilet). But there is neither running water nor electricity.
Can I bring my four-legged friend?
Dogs are not allowed.
Does the event take place in any weather?
In principle, yes, unless there are extreme weather conditions.
