Kink Hütte
LiezenPsst, want a first-hand insider tip?
It's as if you had the leading role in a tasteful home movie. The Hintereggeralm, located in a wonderful alpine village idyll, offers you the perfect backdrop for a successful hiking experience. Pretty wooden huts, grazing cows and a panorama that makes your heart yodel in your voice. Yes, this hike has the potential to be a real blockbuster.
A circular hike with highlights
Passing the Liezen Alpine swimming pool, you reach the Hinteregger Alm car park via the Höhenstraße. From here, a forest path leads to the Kinkhütte - a rustic snack station that invites you to fortify yourself once again before the steep climb to Nazogl and to underline the sweeping view of the beautiful Ennstal valley but also of Nazogl, Grimming and the Schladminger Tauern with a hearty sip of Sommerradler.
Heaven and hell
The Hintereggeralm was presumably cultivated between 1000 and 1200 AD, and today there are still about 23 members of the alpine pasture who let up to 200 cows graze up here in summer. The alp stretches over an area of 184 hectares and is divided into a lower part called "Höll" (hell) and an upper part called "Himmel" (heaven). The Hintereggeralm is managed and those who have not yet absorbed enough panorama and view can continue hiking to the summit of the Nazogl or to the neighbouring Kosennspitz.
