Rottenmanner Hütte
RottenmannLaughter is healthy
Where there is faith, there is also laughter, Martin Luther once said - and indeed. If you are on the Pilgrims' Way of the World's Religions in Rottenmann, you will see a smile cross everyone's face at some point.
A beautiful original world
The Rottenmanner Hütte is located at 1,651 metres above sea level, easily accessible from Rottenmann on the way up to the local mountain - the Steinernen Mandl. The most direct way up starts at the Rottenmanner Hütte car park. From here you walk along the Pilgrims' Way of the World's Religions for about an hour through forest and meadow. On the pilgrims' path, the 5 major world religions and a few smaller religious communities are depicted with magnificent wooden sculptures - idyllically positioned benches invite you to take in these beautiful surroundings. Afterwards, you can make a detour to the Globuckensee before finally saying: "Rottenmanner Hütte I'm coming."
After refreshments, the journey continues
Finally, 22 rooms and 34 campsites await hikers at the hut. Hearty hut delicacies such as hand-rolled dumplings, hearty cheese specialities or home-baked bread ensure that you won't want to leave. If, however, you are drawn further up into the breathtaking heights of the Rottenmanner Tauern, you can hike from the Stein am Mandl to the Hochhaide and tackle the Großer Bösenstein via the Jägerscharte. But be careful: it's demanding!
