The plant world of the Alpine region holds a rich treasure of traditional knowledge – from proven medicinal herbs like arnica, yarrow, and elder to almost forgotten treasures like sanikel or larch resin.
This lecture provides an exciting overview of the development of healing traditions in the Alpine region – from the first mentions of medicinal plants, through medieval monastery recipes and peasant healing knowledge, to modern applications in phytotherapy.
