Kaiserhof Glasmanufaktur
Neuberg an der MürzWelcome to the world of glass dreams!
In the middle of the Mürzer Oberland Nature Park - embedded between the Schneealm and Rax - the art of glass blowing is presented in all its artistic facets in the historic vaults of the former Cistercian Abbey, where it shines and glitters particularly beautifully. Creative, noble and full of attention to detail!
Creative, noble and full of attention to detail
The Kaiserhof Glasmanufaktur in the Naturpark Mürzer Oberland has existed since 2010 under the management of Andreas Hafner. With creativity and professional competence, experienced glassblowers produce high-quality and artistic colored glass at the glass melting furnace. From the simple raw materials quartz sand, lime, potash and sodium carbonate, elegant glasses, vases and imaginative structures with a fascinating spectrum of colors are created from secret and ingenious recipes. With pliers, scissors, tweezers and other aids, the raw glass is shaped into noble and unusual objects and sculptures with great sensitivity and finesse.
Glass art to touch and experience
Glassblowing courses for children and adults, demonstration of the impressive techniques in glass processing and courses in liquid glass production - all of this awaits you and your children in the Kaiserhof glass factory! Have you always wanted to get a taste of glass production or take a closer look at how it actually works with glass? You are welcome to do that at a demonstration here. If you want to experience something very special, it is best to book an in-depth glassmaking course for 3 to 4 people. There are also special children's programs and workshops for school classes.
Noble glass for every occasion
Stroll through the artful glass show garden and the adjoining sales rooms and purchase a motley glass object as a souvenir or gift. Among other things, vases, bowls, drinking glasses, candle holders, jewelry, lights and glass art in exciting designs, classic shapes and beautiful colors are offered.
A worthwhile destination
The monastery area in the center of Neuberg an der Mürz is a popular place to stay for visitors. The "Naturmuseum" with the Schliefsteiner collection and the Münster Neuberg with its impressive charm are located directly in the monastery area next to the Kaiserhof Glasmanufaktur. There is also a café in the area and an original Styrian farm garden nearby, as well as the entrance to the Neuberg Medieval Literature Trail. Visitors can indulge in culinary delights in the Gasthof Schäffer, just a few minutes walk away, or in the grocery store by Traude Holzer.
