Kalvarienberg und Kalvarienberg Kirche

The Kalvarienberg of Kindberg with the church of the same name was built in the late 16th century and is among the most beautiful Calvary hills in Austria. The Calvary hill in Graz served as the model. A prominent feature is the natural basalt rock on which the Calvary hill and the church are situated. Around the church itself, there are chapels, caves, and sculptures depicting scenes from the Passion. In total, there are 13 stations, each featuring life-sized figures made of wood and stone, created by some renowned artists.
