Abbey garden St. Lambrecht
St. LambrechtThis wonderful complex with the pavilion at its centre was set out in the middle of the 17th century according to plans by the Admont court gardener Hans Strudl and the monastery's master builder Domenico Sciassia. In 2004, the garden's four-part Baroque structure was restored according to plans by the garden architect DI Dr Karin Hochegger.
The redesign of the individual quarters is based, on the one hand, on the four elements of fire, water, earth and air, and, on the other hand, on four significant periods of Christian salvation history. The Abbey Garden in St. Lambrecht is a jewel for pausing, meditating, and experiencing nature and art. You can enjoy the garden with all your senses while working with and in nature. Working with colors and scents is like balm for the soul. Self-processed products can be bought in the gardener's house or in the monastery store.
A stop in the garden café "Café Paul" is worthwhile!
"On the way to paradise" - During the guided tours you have the opportunity to learn a lot about the cultivation, care, effect and processing of plants.
The Abbey Garden is freely accessible all year round.
