The Roman Catholic parish church consecrated to St. Martin of Tours belongs to the dean's office in Murau in the diocese of Graz-Seckau. The church and the former churchyard are under monument protection (list entry).

The first documented dates refer to the year 1007, in which there was already a forerunner of the parish church of St. Martins should have given. In the 17th century a fire destroyed the glass windows, the bell tower and the roof of the church. The repainting of the parish church in 1777 completely changed its overall impression.
