The Hahnsee is located at 1800m in the Seckauer Alps and is probably one of the most hidden mountain lakes in the Alpine region.
Away from marked paths, the small hidden lake offers a direct view of the peaks of the Hahnenkamm. Here, snow often remains until early summer. Since the path is not marked, you should join guided tours or locals who know the way; otherwise, it can easily happen that you simply wander a bit off the route. A truly untouched natural treasure that must be preserved.
Opening hours:
The Hahnsee is accessible all year round - please note: depending on the weather conditions, the municipality will set up a general access barrier in the Ingeringgraben. Information on the homepage of the municipality of Gaal.
